the equipment over the obstacle course and into the show , but the music
sounded good, the public seemed to enjoy it and the rain held off.
Horndean Band was joined by
a number of friends for the summer concert on 23rd July. Several of
the band members have been taking part in Race for Life's in a female
marching band, marching and playing 5k in Plymouth, Street and Portsmouth.
Several members of the female band joined in teh concert, with more spotted in
teh audience. So far the March for Life band has raised over £11,000
this year and the proceeds of the concert raffle and collection on the
door raised a substantial amount towards this.

Georges Day Concert, Harting Fete, Gosport Memorial Parade, Armed Forces Day and
more... The band is having a busy and successful year.
Horndean Band's Christmas Concert on 17th December 2010 saw
the band entertain an enthusiastic audience with a mixed programme of
music, taken from popular Christmas films as well as popular Christmas
music and traditional carols. Following on from the
popularity of our 2010 concerts, we have plans for 3 concerts in
2011.
The August
Bank Holiday Weekend saw many members and friends at the annual Band Camp. The
theme this year was SausageFest and the sausages were great. We
enjoyed great weather, except from the unexpected 2 hour storm that
lashed the marquee and left anyone still at the campsite wondering if marching
would be possible. There was a good audience watching the Bognor Regis
parade on the Sunday and a good time was had by all.
